Nandi Moswa known as Thandie Sterling began writing poetry at a late stage in life. Unlike many who will say they have been poetic their whole lives, she got her motivation through watching other spoken word artists.

Thandie saw the impact that spoken word poetry had on so many, and how it changed her life personally. After many years of suffering in silence, bottling all emotions on the inside, she found a way she could express herself and better yet,  she found a way she could be a voice for others.
